Project Description and Objectives
An in-cylinder thermochemical fuel reforming mechanism is a common scientific issue for engine combustion optimization. The combination of an in-cylinder thermochemical fuel reforming mechanism and combustion process is the key scientific issue, which has the synergistic or the interaction mechanism. Due to enclosed space effects, the combustion process and fuel reforming reaction have transient characteristics, leading to a complicated mechanism and process for in-cylinder thermochemical fuel reforming. Combined with experiments, theoretical and numerical simulations, fundamental research of in-cylinder thermochemical fuel reforming mechanism and combustion optimization interaction effects will be carried out in this proposal.
